info report about slovakia

Slovakia

Hello for the past 3 weeks we were doing a info report about countries


              Food
Bryndzové halušky- potato dumplings with sheep cheese and roasted bacon
 Buchty-sweet buns with jam 
Šišky – fried donuts with any jam with sugar on top
Zemiakové placky-potato pancakes with flour and garlic fried in oil. 


               Famous people
Andy warhole. Artist parents from slovakia
Juraj Jánošík. Slovak Robin Hood.
Marián Hossa. Hockey player 
Ondrej Nepela. Figure-skating
Svätopluk. King of Great Moravia.

Slovakia is  landlocked so they have no beaches but they have many caves
Slovakia is located far away from the mediterranean sea
Slovakia shares a border with Austria (south west)
Czhech republic (west)
Hungary (south)
Poland (north)
Ukraine (east)

Czechoslovakia (1918–1939) Czechoslovakia was when slovakia and czech was together 
Soviet influence and Communist party rule (1948–1989)
